How good a surfer do you need to be to surf at half point of Sandy Beach?

How good of a surfer do you need to be to surf at the left side of sandy beach where some long boarders and shortboarders are???

it depends on how big the swell is. the bigger the wave the better you need to be. the size board you ride can also play a factor. in bigger surf a long board can be more stable but not as maneuverable as a short board
